Cultural Footsteps.

My heroes are not only fellow silversmiths, but members of the Diné tribe. Being a silversmith is more than making pretty jewelry - it is a tradition that I was born into - and I work to make each piece live up to this ideal.

Earth Conscious.

I have worked with the same family turquoise mines for the entirety of my career. I believe in creating jewelry that is not only beautiful, but culturally and enviromentally but sustainable.

About The Navajo Silversmith

Native American silversmith portrait

I learned the art of traditional silversmithing from my mother, an accomplished silversmith herself. Still to this day, I often ask her advice and input on the pieces that I create.

I like to think of my jewelry as an homage to my ancestors who came from the area that I grew up in. For them, silversmithing was a way of creating jewelry that would not only stand the test of time, but be uniquely theirs. My work carries the weight of this responibility with it; to create something that not only makes my clients happy, but that represents my culture as a whole.

I have made everything from bolo ties to engagement rings and I approach each project with humility and excitement. Should you be interested in ordering a piece from me, please fill out this form to begin the process.

I appreciate your visit and look forward to having the opportunity to create an original piece of work for you.

Sincerely,
Christopher M. Bazan
